Beach trips

Spending time by the ocean has a calming, restorative effect on the mind and body. The rhythmic sound of waves, open sky, and fresh air naturally reduce stress hormones and promote mental clarity. Beach trips allow clients to unplug from daily pressures, reflect in a peaceful environment, and reconnect with a sense of calm and freedom—key components in emotional healing and long-term recovery.

Group Outings & Nature Walks

Walking in nature encourages grounding, present-moment awareness, and emotional regulation. Immersed in green space, clients often experience reduced anxiety, improved focus, and a greater sense of peace. Nature walks at In the Hills Recovery offer not just physical activity, but a chance to decompress, reflect, and feel connected to something larger than oneself—supporting both mental and spiritual recovery.

Art & Creative Workshops

Creative expression is a powerful tool in recovery. Through painting, drawing, or crafting, clients can explore emotions that are often difficult to verbalize. Art helps reduce anxiety, improve mood, and build self-esteem by providing a safe outlet for inner thoughts and experiences. These workshops also foster mindfulness and personal insight—critical steps in the healing journey.
